A family team with roots in Nanaimo
Island Efficient Homes is a 2nd generation family business based in Nanaimo, BC. We’re dedicated to further establishing our roots in Nanaimo for the decades and generations to come through outstanding customer service and unparalleled workmanship.
As a company, we’ve been driven to build energy-efficient homes on Vancouver Island right from the start.
Our structures are built using a groundbreaking construction system called insulated concrete forms – or ICF. In our quest to build environmentally-conscious, comfortable homes and commercial buildings, we pride ourselves on providing cost-effective, high-end workmanship and superior materials to our job sites.
Our emphasis on building long-lasting structures extends to our approach on building lasting relationships with our clients as well. In order to provide the best service possible, Island Efficient Homes stands upon a network of dependable and trustworthy suppliers and subcontractors whom we couldn’t work without.

Joy has a sharp eye for planning and designing space-efficient homes and renovations that are as functional as they are beautiful.
We knew right from the beginning if we were going to build houses it had to be in the most respectful way, both to the environment and to our clients. We wanted to focus on comfort – not only for those living in the home, but with regards to the environmental and financial costs of running a home as well.

Serving Nanaimo and the surrounding area since 1991, Island Efficient Excavating offers quality excavation work at a reasonable rate. You’ll often find the IEE team pairing up with Island Efficient Homes on construction sites, or offering their expert excavation and earth-moving services to homeowners across Nanaimo.
